This year bought about the screening of a couple of feature films I had the pleasure of being a part of. Both thrillers with unexpected twists. “ICU” was a few years in the making, I had a short but fun lived experience on the set as I was killed. My role as an undercover cop trying to lure a serial killer (retired world wrestler The Raven) in the film “Sleepers” was quiet a demanding acting and stunt role. After being tossed about in a confined tiled room by the former wrestler for 8 hours then stabbed in the eye, I was pretty much ready for any challenge! The screening of “Sleepers” was a great success, and we now wait to see how it does on an international level.
After tackling most Australian and International men’s and fitness magazines and calendars, I have strayed off in a new direction of stunt work. I still have a deep set passion in acting, and still been actively getting local roles but I have found a new calling in film stunt work. I have been pulled up for various stunt roles over the last six years while I have been on set, due to my diverse and sometimes strange sports and hobbies skills. As I am always chasing the adrenalin, I figured I may as well get a little more serious with it. Presently I am training with the “Film Industry Stunt Team” rigorously to make my grading in august.
From there the sky is the limit…I hope! I plan to head to the US and snoop around the film industry and try my luck if any appropriate auditions, stunt or acting, arise.
